TEESSIDE HOSPICE OPEN 14TH RETAIL SHOP ON NORTON HIGH STREET

On Friday 7th June 2024, Teesside Hospice opened their 14th retail shop in support of those living with a terminal illness and their families.

The 14th shop is located at 10 High Street, Norton, TS20 1DN and features womenswear, menswear, footwear and bric-a-brac. The store is fitted with metal and wood fixations to provide a clean and refreshing experience to reinvent what it really means to be a modern-day charity shop. From boutique brands to designer clothing, the stock was fitted with ‘anti-clutter’ in mind.

Teesside Hospice Norton, like the other 13 Teesside Hospice Charity Shops, also gives customers an opportunity to play the Teesside Hospice Lottery, with a weekly prize of £1,000 as well as other prizes down to £5. At the moment, the jackpot rollover has reached £8,000 and must be won when it reaches £10,000!

Customers can also sign up to Teesside Hospice MyCard, a loyalty scheme that gives you points for pounds, so you can earn rewards by supporting those living with a terminal illness.

Chris McMahon, Head of Retail at Teesside Hospice, said: “We’re so proud to finally be in the centre of a community we’ve served for 42 years through our clinical services. Our Norton team of staff and volunteers are excited to meet the residents and visitors of Norton face-to-face, so we can continue to provide palliative care for those living with a terminal illness and their families.”

Teesside Hospice is inviting everyone to visit the shop in Norton to either shop, purchase a lucky dip, donate a bag of clothing and items or sign up to the Teesside Hospice MyCard Loyalty Scheme.

Opening day supporters of Teesside Hospice Norton on social media have labelled the shop: “boutique”, “fabulous”, and “outstanding”.
