As a patient of our Lymphoedema Clinic, Kevin has been given guidance and advice for managing his condition – and has seen great results. Since being referred to our team and following the regime set, he’s found reduced swelling, no tightness and heaviness in his legs, and softer skin.
We’re so lucky to be supported by amazing volunteers over the festive season, who help us provide care, offer a friendly welcome for visitors, and much more. This includes Dawn, who has been volunteering with Teesside Hospice for 4 years and gives up her time on Christmas Day to help patients and visitors feel as special as possible.

Ian first came to us as part of our Wellbeing Centre, later spending time on our In-Patient Unit when he needed more specialist care. His husband, Tony, kindly shared their experience with us, reflecting on the support and respect they both received.
When 15-year-old Rafael was looking to do more with his weekends and gain new skills, he turned to volunteering. Now, after a year of volunteering in our charity shop, he’s built his confidence and met some great friends.
