Stockton-based Eastgate Engineering has raised £2,000 for Teesside Hospice at a recent Ladies Lunch event.

The firm hosted the ‘Eastgate in Bloom’ lunch as part of its International Women’s Day celebrations, inviting local businesswomen to connect and strengthen the community, all while raising vital funds for our hospice.

60 people attended the lunch, which took place at Bloom Show Hall and Eaterie in Middlesbrough, and raised an incredible £2,000 through donations and a raffle on the day.

Eastgate first partnered with Teesside Hospice after attending the hospice ball in 2025, coming on board as Corporate Partners eight months ago and planning further fundraising initiatives.

Abbie King, Marketing Executive at Eastgate, said: “We choose to support Teesside Hospice because they are ours: our people, our community, our neighbours. The care they give is rooted right here in Teesside, bringing comfort, dignity, and compassion to local families when life feels at its hardest.

“Knowing that our support helps a charity so close to home, one that truly understands the heart of our community, makes every effort feel deeply meaningful.”

Ellie Garrens, Senior Marketing Officer at Teesside Hospice said: “Eastgate in Bloom was a truly amazing event, with so many inspirational women in one room. It was great to come together to share our stories, and the fact that it was in aid of our work was an added bonus.”

Hassan Hameed, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Teesside Hospice, added: “We’re so grateful to Eastgate Engineering and everyone who attended this event for their incredible contribution.

“As demand for our services rises, so does the cost of running these services, and so every effort like this makes a huge difference to the hospice. By hosting and attending events like Eastgate in Bloom, the Teesside community is directly funding better end of life care, lymphoedema and wellbeing services, and bereavement counselling support for people in the local area.

“Thank you so much for the support.”

Eastgate in Bloom was kindly sponsored by AM Global/AM Training, NOF and LFF Glammal.

Thank you Eastgate!
