Debbie explains how a chance encounter many years ago set her on a path to volunteering, and the happiness and gratitude she’s felt since then:
The Mayor of Middlesbrough has paid a visit to Teesside Hospice, to see first-hand the impact our services have on the local community.
As part of Volunteers Week, we caught up with a team of our café volunteers to find out what a day of volunteering in the café entails, and why they chose to support Teesside Hospice.
Alice came to Teesside Hospice when she needed some additional care - and our kind, compassionate team were more than happy to offer this to her. Read more about her experience staying on our In-Patient Unit.

After a lengthy decision process, it has been agreed in principle that Teesside Hospice and Butterwick Hospice will merge to provide people across the Tees Valley and County Durham with access to better end of life care and ensure long-term sustainability of services.
