Wedding bells are ringing at our Wellbeing Centre!

Recently, our team came together to make a truly unforgettable moment happen for Fiona, our lovely Wellbeing patient and her family.

Fiona shared her wish to get married as she faced her terminal illness and wanted to make their commitment to each other as a couple with their young son.

Within just 2 weeks, our Wellbeing team and hospice staff came together to get donated items like decorations, flowers, cakes, and everything Fiona needed to make the day special.

Fiona, our beautiful bride shared “I just wanted to write a little something to the generous, wonderful people who donated things for mine and Peter's wedding. Thank you so much to each and every one of you who put something towards it. It truly made it perfect for us. Our day was so special and wouldn’t have been possible without you all.

Thank you again for everything, you wonderful, generous, thoughtful people. Sending loads of love from the Downings”

At Teesside Hospice, we don’t just provide care, we create moments that our patients and families will remember forever. Ensuring everyone who accesses our services live every moment and are supported above and beyond.

We are so proud of our staff, volunteers, and everyone who made this special day happen. It’s moments like these that show the heart of hospice care, making the impossible, possible.

Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Downing!
