B&Q's Transformation Support
A huge thank you to B&Q Stockton for choosing Teesside Hospice as their local charity to receive £1,000 worth of products and for completely transforming the entrance to our hospice!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to corporate supporter Ramsdens for funding a whole day of care at Teesside Hospice – a remarkable contribution of £18,500!
Ramsdens, which is headquartered on Teesside, has been a long-standing supporter of our hospice and in 2025, has raised and donated enough to fund an entire day of care.
This generosity will be marked with a ‘Funded by Ramsdens’ day, taking place on November 28th.
Kyla de Lehenstein Collins, Director of Income Generation at Teesside Hospice said: “We’re so grateful to Ramsdens for all the support they’ve shown us, both this year and in the past.
“It costs £6.75 million annually to run our services, which equates to around £18,500 per day. Less than 30% of this comes from statutory funding, so having supporters like Ramsdens on board is vital for us. We deliver our services to around 4,000 people in the Tees Valley which wouldn’t be possible without the community.”
As well as making financial donations through initiatives like its Loose Coin Collection Scheme and sponsoring events, the Ramsdens team have also supported us through volunteering and mentoring.
Kyla continued: “Financial donations make a huge difference, but so do the other contributions from the Ramsdens team.
“Our retail and marketing teams have benefitted from expert mentoring and training in areas such as how to identify precious metal. This really helps our teams long-term and means they can increase their knowledge – and in turn our income – in important areas.
“And time is a great gift to give the hospice – by volunteering, Ramsdens have helped generate income in our charity shops and at events.”
Peter Kenyon, CEO of Ramsdens, said: “At Ramsdens, we recognise the importance of supporting our local hospice and contributing to such a meaningful cause at the heart of our community. As an organisation deeply rooted in the region, Ramsdens is committed to making a positive difference and giving back wherever we can.
“We encourage other local businesses to get involved and support the hospice. Whether financially or by volunteering time and expertise, every effort - big or small, helps make a lasting impact.”
Ramsdens has also pledged to support Teesside Hospice during The Big Give Christmas Challenge, which takes place from December 2nd – 9th. Alongside Cleveland Cables, the firm is supporting us with the match pot, as we aim to raise over £20,000 to be doubled by The Big Give’s match funders.
Thank you for the incredible support, Ramsdens!
