Janet is one of our wonderful meal service volunteers, gifting her time to serve lunches to our in-patients. Here she shares how she became involved with Teesside Hospice, and what she enjoys about her role.
For Sean, bringing in his guitar helped make his time with us feel a little more like home, a place where he could continue to be himself and feel at ease. This is just one example of how we go the extra mile to ensure that our patients' emotional and physical needs are met with compassion and care. Whether it’s with familiar items, photos of loved ones, or personal mementos.
We want everyone who comes to Teesside Hospice to experience a sense of peace and comfort, knowing they are supported in every way possible.

Previously, when Donna thought of the word hospice, she thought of dying – but that association changed after she became a patient. Donna shares how a stay on our In-Patient Unit has given her confidence and changed her misconceptions around hospice care.
