Groups and services for you

From  art  classes  to  meditation,  the  sessions  on  offer  at  Day  Hospice  are  pretty  varied. Designed  to help  you  manage  your  illness,  stay  independent,  and  meet  other  people  in similar  situations,  Day Hospice  runs  throughout  the  week. Find  out more here:

Day Hospice Stay for the Day

Take part in any of the day’s creative activities and complementary therapies. Lunch is provided.

Be In Charge Programme

For people struggling to adjust to living with their illness, this group offers practical advice, focusing on providing emotional support and advice on how to maintain happy and healthy relationships.

Together Group

A support group for patients who no longer need the formal care from the hospice but want to keep in touch with people in the same situation as them.

Drop-in Service

As the name suggests, an appointment is not necessary for the Drop-in Service and on your fi­rst visit you will be greeted by a member of our team who will sit and discuss your individual needs and ways to help you maintain a sense of well-being and a positive approach to living with such an illness.

Complementary Therapies

Massage therapy, Reiki, Meditation, Yoga, Acupuncture.

Creative Activities

Art, Music Therapy, Photography & Writing. Take part just for fun or to work on specific goals, such as creating a memory box or composing lyrics for a song to a family member.
