To help you manage your illness, stay independent, and meet other people in similar situations, our Wellbeing Centre runs various virtual activities throughout the week. Find out more here about how we can help you:

Telephone Support

A nurse from our Wellbeing Centre is available for ongoing support for any problems, between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday to Friday on 01642 811072, if no one is available please leave a message. (In the case of urgent care being required please ring your GP).

We can offer regular telephone calls to offer support and advice and will liaise with other Health Care Professionals, too.

Peer Support Group

We are running weekly support groups, led by our Wellbeing Centre nurses,  so you can benefit from psychological and social support, whilst talking to your peers and asking any questions you might have.

Anxiety and Breathless Management

If you are having problems with anxiety and breathlessness, we can help you. This  4-5 week course will teach you coping strategies and skills to help you to live better with your illness and symptoms; focusing on relaxation and wellbeing. The meetings are led by our Wellbeing Centre nurse and will include sessions from other members of the team, such as our Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

If you need extra support because your health problems are impacting your day to day life, whether it’s physically or emotionally, we can arrange a one-to-one session with a trained therapist. Our therapist can help you to cope with anxiety, panic attacks, low mood, depression, fatigue, and acceptance & adjustment issues.

Carers Group

You’re doing a great job, but caring for someone has huge demands that can impact your own health. If you are a carer and you’re struggling at home, or need practical advice to help look after your loved ones, this support group is for you. This group meets virtually once a week on a Wednesday at 12pm - 1pm. If you are interested please give us a call and pass your email to a member of staff from the Wellbeing Centre.

To be a part of the virtual sessions, both groups & one to one, you will need access to Zoom on a computer, tablet or smart phone.
