Patient Experience Volunteer

Age Requirements: From 18 years old plus

Role Summary: To volunteer as part of our multidisciplinary team to support effective clinical care by helping capture patient experience of our care to see what we are doing well and how we can improve.  Within this is supporting our patients to live the experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Senior nurse on duty to identify patients suitable to complete patient experience survey
  • To assist in completion of patient experience survey using an iPad to capture feedback from patients/relatives in IPU
  • Ability to use iPad, mobile phone and touchscreens effectively and independently
  • To feedback to senior nurse any follow up needed from patient experience

Training requirements:

As a Patient Experience volunteer you will complete the following training:

Teesside Hospice mandatory training

Volunteer induction training

Any other training identified as appropriate to the role

Support and supervision:

Your first line of support and for any enquiries will be Line Manager to support you in your role as well as the senior nurse on duty.

Communications:

The line manager will regularly provide you with any information updates, training opportunities and upcoming events appropriate to your role.

You will be provided with a Teesside Hospice volunteer badge
