Moonrise was started in 2014 by experience registered nurse and Managing Director, Jessica Gwaringa, to provide domiciliary care and agency staffing in the North East of England.
Jessica’s son Keith, who was only 9 years old at the time, is responsible for coming up with the name Moonrise.
With a background of nursing and care home management there was no doubt in Jessica’s mind that Moonrise could be a success if she applied the experience she had to the company.
Since its start in 2014, Moonrise has grown and branched out with us now covering areas in Yorkshire and beyond as well as also now being able to provide Supported Living and Children and Young Peoples Services.
With a close-knit team, Moonrise aims to continue this growth and expansion into the future. The team are ready for the road ahead!

The business began in 1924 with the opening of a shoe shop in Middlesbrough. From small beginnings The Clinkard Group has now grown to be the leading Independent Footwear Retailer in the North East and one of the largest Independents in the UK.
