I've supported Teesside Hospice for almost a decade. Since my father's passing in 2014.
We Attended the lymphoedema clinic together and I think that marked the beginning of my ongoing contributions, as I still visit but I now go alone.
Since then, I have always donated to the hospice and actively participated in the Light up a Life appeal.
My involvement in the Light up a Life appeal holds a special place in my heart. Every year, I visit the Christmas Tree in Middlesbrough to make a dedication in memory of my parents, who both loved Christmas.
To remember my parents during Light up a Life is my way to keep their memory alive. Knowing that my donations go to support Teesside Hospice fills me with happiness. They need the support, they don’t get much funding and it's important to me to support a place that provides such vital care.
You never forget your loved ones, but over time the grief lifts and it does get easier.
