This June we welcome back the spectacular Sunflower Memory Garden. Once again beautiful bespoke, handcrafted sunflowers will adorn the grounds of Centre Square, Middlesbrough, with a special Memorial Wall at its heart, featuring the names of lost loved ones.

Remembering a loved one is very personal and the memory garden is a unique and meaningful way to celebrate the life of someone important to you.

Jess Sullivan, Teesside Hospice Fundraiser, said, “We are so happy to be bringing the Sunflower Memory Garden back to Centre Square for a second year. The reaction in 2016 was amazing, so we wanted to give people the opportunity once again to feature their loved one’s name on the wall in the centre of the town they are from. The poignant wall and beautiful sunflowers will be available to view for the month of June and I would urge all local people to come along and take a look – it truly is a piece of art.”

Jess added, ‘Not only will the Memorial Wall and the bespoke sunflowers look spectacular but they offer a much deeper meaning to those that have made dedications to their loved ones.”

It’s completely up to you who you choose to remember in this way, whether it’s a friend, family member or work colleague. They don’t have to have been cared for by the Hospice in order for you to make a donation.

The garden will be open to the public daily throughout the full month of June.

Jane Moses, Nurse Practitioner at Teesside Hospice, said, “The Sunflower Memory Garden is a very special campaign as it means so much to so many people. This unique way of remembering loved ones is very special and the love it represents is so powerful. Not only does it provide comfort to those remembering, it also means that we can continue to provide our care to those that need us most, with thanks to the kind donations received.”

If you would like to make a donation and add your loved one's name to the Memorial Wall, please call 01642 811149 or click the button below.

Your donation will help Teesside Hospice provide vital care to patients now.
