Help us raise £41,000 in 7 Days so we can provide care on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

 

We’re very excited to let you know that Teesside Hospice has been selected again to participate in this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s largest match funding campaign.

Last year, thanks to the help of our generous supporters, we managed to raise an amazing £50,097 in public donations, within just 1 week!

This year, we are raising donations again for our Christmas Campaign, Making Memorable Moments. For seven days from Tuesday 2nd December to Tuesday 9th December, every donation raised will be matched, providing us with an amazing opportunity to amplify our impact for those who need it most. Double the impact, double the joy, helping us create unforgettable moments for our patients and their families this Christmas.

It costs us almost £41,000 to keep our doors open over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, to provide specialist care for patients and their families living with a terminal illness.

Here’s how you can support our Making Memorable Moments appeal:

  • During this week only, your donation will be matched. This means your generosity will go twice as far in helping us reach our £41,000 goal. A £10 donation becomes £20, and a £50 gift turns into £100, helping us support those living with a life limiting illness in Teesside. Your donation can only be doubled if you donate via the Big Give platform link!
  • Share our campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues. The more people who know about our mission, the greater the impact we can make this Christmas.
  • Follow us on social media to see the stories and moments your support helps create. Your engagement and encouragement mean the world to us and to those we support across Teesside.

How your donation makes an impact
£10 could provide comforting essential oils for a relaxing complementary therapy session, or a memory box to cherish special moments with their loved ones forever.
£20 can offer a soothing therapy session to a patient or carer, easing stress and pain, or provide a heat pad to patients.
£50 can fund a bereavement counselling session, offering vital support to a grieving child, teenager, or adult navigating loss.
£100 can provide 4 hours of expert nursing care, ensuring dignity, comfort, and personal support for our patients in our10-bed Inpatient Unit (IPU).
£250 can help grieving children and young people throughout the year- giving them comforting books, Worry Monsters, Wish Strings, Pocket Hugs, and Jellycat toys.
£300 can fund essential slide sheets for every bed in our IPU, making it easier to move patients gently and comfortably.
£500 can provide specialist training for a hospice staff member, ensuring the best possible care and best practice.
£1,000 can fund 40 hours of specialist nursing in our IPU, delivering compassionate, person-centred care- or purchase a vital syringe driver, ensuring patients remain comfortable and pain-free.
