Come along to Teesside Hospice for a tour of our facilities and find out more about the services we offer.

On Friday 8th May 2026, as part of Hospice UK’s Dying Matters Awareness Week, we’re opening our doors to offer the community the chance to find out more about their local hospice.

Visit us from 11am – 2pm at 1 Northgate Road, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough, TS5 5NW for a guided tour of our In-Patient Unit, Wellbeing Centre, Lymphoedema Clinic and Bereavement Counselling Service building. Our team will be on hand to share information about our services and the community we serve through these.

This Dying Matters Week, we want to bust the misconceptions around hospice care and show that while it’s important to talk about death and dying, we’re so much more than that.

As well as offering a tour of our facilities and the chance to meet our team, we’ll be sharing some important discussions, resources, and information on how we help our patients and their families prepare and speak about dying.

Come along for an insight into your local hospice and help us get Teesside talking about death – it’s a vital topic for us all.

What is Dying Matters Week?

Dying Matters is a national campaign by Hospice UK which aims to break down the stigma of talking about death and dying. 27% of people find it hard to talk about death with family or friends, but if we dont talk about death and dying and bereavement, it can be harder to cope when we experience it.

This Dying Matters Awareness Week we’re focusing on the importance of conversations about death and dying, helping to get the conversation started.
