Second Hand September

Make second hand your first choice!

Second Hand September is back – and this year, we’re making it bigger, bolder, and more creative than ever. We’re challenging you to say no to buying new clothes for 30 days and instead celebrate the power of second-hand fashion and all things thrifting.

How you can get involved in our Second Hand September campaign

Donating to our charity shops

If you’re having a wardrobe refresh and switching into autumn mode, donate your preloved winter wardrobe to us so we can give them new homes!

Shopping second hand

Is your wardrobe missing something? Create a thrift wishlist using our Second Hand September guide and shop second hand at one of our 14 charity shops across Teesside. Did you know you can also shop second hand, out of hours with our online eBay and Vinted charity shops!

Make second-hand your first choice with Teesside Hospice!

Sustainability is at the forefront of our retail shops, and nothing quite beats the feeling when you get complimented on an outfit and you can proudly say ‘I got it from a charity shop!’. Pop into your local Teesside Hospice shop and see what you can find this September…

By taking part in Second Hand September, you’re making a huge difference in supporting the care we provide to people and their families living with a terminal illness in Teesside.

Take the challenge and only buy second hand clothes for the 30 days of this month. Together, let’s make this a sustainable and impactful September!

Did you know we've also got a Second Hand September fashion show finale to complete the month long campaign? Check out our details of the fashion show here, where we're collaborating with the students from the Northern School of Art in Middlesbrough to celebrate all things second hand!
