Do you see yourself as an avid gamer? Do you miss being able to play games all day without someone judging you? You can make a huge difference for someone who suffers with a terminal illness, by creating a streaming event you will raise vital funds to support the hospice and allow us to provide our high quality care to those who need it most.

Even if you're just feeling bored & isolated during this lock down, this gaming challenge is a great way to stay social with friends and family. Encourage them to take part with you along the way and play your favourite games. but from the safety of home. You can even dedicate your stream to someone who has impacted your life.

It gives you the ideal excuse to sit and play video games all day and night, as you'll be raising money for a great cause.

How to host your own gaming & fundraising stream

The process is easy & straight forward. We are here to help you along the way if you get stuck at all.

1.    Make sure to choose your desired console  – PlayStation, XBOX, Nintendo, PC

2.    Choose a platform you're going to stream on - think where you're likely to get a better response, for example, Twitch or YouTube

3.    Decide when you want your live stream to happen

• What day of the week?
• What time are you going to start/finish?
• Are you going to be doing it with any friends/family members? 
• What games are you going to play and in what order/at what time?

4.    Set up a fundraising page for donations.

• We recommend setting up a Just Giving page, as you can easily share your link with others & it is very simple to use.
• Include all the live stream information (Including link, timings etc.) On your page so it is all in one place for people.

5.    Promotion

• Share on social media to create a buzz building up to the day. (If you notify us of your date/time we can help promote your event.)
• Make sure to tag us on social media so we can share your post.

6.    Set goals with incentives to encourage donations.

• Engage with the people watching and ask them to interact with you while playing (please try refrain from using bad language & anything that people may find offensive)
• Include donation goals and ensure donation alerts come through while playing & potentially shout them out for the support.
• If people donate a certain amount they could choose your team, weapon etc. Then when you reach your main target goal of £100 you could do something fun to celebrate with everyone (put on a silly outfit or something).

Minimum sponsorship option-  £10 deposit to secure your place and you commit to raising £100 in sponsorship.

*When you register to take part in our Gaming For Good event you will need to decide how long you want to run your event for. When you have picked a date & a time you will receive a code to redeem your FREE medium sized pizza from Domino's. Please remember to take breaks during your stream to avoid stress on your eyes and body.
