Every year our Firewalks are a scorching hit with our supporters. You'll experience a once-in-a-lifetime moment by walking across 1200 degrees Fahrenheit red hot embers. The Firewalk will be taking place on Sunday 5th November 2023 at Middlesbrough Rugby Club! The Firewalk finishes just as the Fireworks are about to begin, so it's set to be super exciting for anyone taking part. Due to the time of the year, it will be dark so you'll be able to see the embers burning brightly, adding to the thrill & suspense of the walk.
We receive flaming good feedback from participants every time. So, if you have any fears or concerns, we can help extinguish any worries. So fire away with any questions & contact fundraising@teessidehospice.co.uk
Once you have registered, it is time to fundraise!
We can support you along the way with help setting up your online fundraising page, and some tips to ignite your fundraising efforts!
By taking part in the Firewalk you will be supporting local people and their families affected by a terminal illness. We can't express enough how our community makes such a difference, thank you.
Each walker must be aged 12 years or over on the day of the event and those aged 17 or under need to be accompanied by an adult – this person does not need to be registered or take part in the firewalk. If you are bringing any guests with you, please make sure they are well-wrapped up! You will receive an online information and safety briefing from the organiser before taking part, then outside the Hospice, you will go one by one across the fire.
To secure your place, the initial signup cost of this event is £25. We kindly ask that, in order to participate, you must raise an additional minimum of £100 in sponsorship. Thank you
