2024 Midnight Memory Walk

Walk in memory of those we have loved and lost at our annual Midnight Walk.

Start and finish: Redcar and Cleveland College.
Distance: 11km
Route: Along the coast towards Marske, flat, wheelchair friendly

Date: Saturday 23rd March 2024

This is your chance to make a difference. By taking part in the Midnight Memory Walk, you'll make sure that:

• Our friendly nurses can make essential visits to local families at home.
• People caring for someone they love can pick up the phone, day or night, for vital advice and reassurance.
• People staying at our IPU can continue to have visits from their families, surrounded by the love and care of our nurses.

Whilst this is a walking event, it should not be underestimated – like any challenge, it requires preparation! But with a little bit of commitment and lots of enthusiasm, anyone can take on this 11k challenge...

FAQs

How long does it take? 

It is a walk, not a run, so it all depends on your pace. Those with a quicker pace can return from around 1 hour 30 minutes, however, the average time is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.

What's the dress code? 

There are no rules! Though, the more over the top the better! It's all about raising sponsorship and awareness in memory of loved ones, so, however, you decide to dress up, we can't wait to see it! 

Do I have to raise sponsorship?

We rely on sponsorship and donations to provide our care - without this support we would not be here. We encourage all our Midnight Walkers to raise as much sponsorship as possible. It's easy!
