Tees Tech Awards support Teesside Hospice

It was announced today that the Tees Tech Awards will also be a significant night for Teesside Hospice, as we're named the event official charity.

The Tees Tech Awards are organised by Tees Business in association with DigitalCity and Middlesbrough Digital, the awards recognise and celebrate the organisations and individuals who make the fast-growing Teesside tech sector such an exciting place to be in.

It is expected nearly 300 people will be in attendance at the awards ceremony, which will take place at Hardwick Hall Hotel on Tuesday, April 28.

And courtesy of an envelope draw and general fundraising on the night, we are thrilled to announce we all donations from the evening will go towards supporting to keep our services open, as we need to raise £5,600 each day to continue caring for local people with a terminal illnesses.

Anne Cooling, the hospice’s Head of Corporate Development, said: “Teesside Hospice is hugely grateful to Tees Business for raising awareness within the corporate sector and helping to raise valuable funds for the hospice.

“Donations raised during the Tees Tech Awards will go towards providing end of life care, to local people at a time when they need it the most.”

Tees Business Director Dave Allan said: “Teesside Hospice is established as the region’s leading hospice, carrying out such vital care for our communities, so we’re thrilled to support them at this challenging time. We’re sure those attending the Tech Awards will be generous in their support.”
