Salary: Band 6 (£23,458 - £31,779) pro rata 

A vacancy has arisen at Teesside Hospice Care Foundation for a Senior Staff Nurse, primarily working on the inpatient unit.   The post is for 22.5 hrs per week, and includes internal rotation to night duty and the day care unit.
 
The successful applicant will have at least eighteen months experience in a specialist palliative care unit / oncology ward, be highly motivated, patient focused, and committed to developing practice.   A teaching certificate and palliative care course at level 2/3 is mandatory. You will be expected to take the lead in a particular aspect of care / practice, and support the clinical team leader on set projects. You must be familiar with multidisciplinary team working.        

Teesside Hospice Care Foundation exists to provide specialist palliative care to the people of Middlesbrough and the surrounding area and offers Inpatient Care, Day Care, Outpatient Clinics and Bereavement Counselling.  The Teesside Hospice Trading Company is responsible for fundraising for the hospice services.

The successful candidate must successfully undertake a Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and a pre-employment medical prior to starting work.  Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
