Make a lasting gift – leave a legacy to Teesside Hospice

Many people do not realise that they can leave a gift to charity in their Will. Leaving a gift to charity in your Will is a way of making sure that you leave something to the causes that were important to you during your lifetime.

Once your loved ones have been provided for you may find that you feel able to leave a gift to Teesside Hospice. Should this be the case a gift of any amount no matter how large or small this may be, would be very much appreciated and will help us to continue our specialist palliative care to the local community in the years to come.

Charitable gifts are exempt from Inheritance Tax which means that anything you leave will go to Teesside Hospice without the government taking a percentage of the value in tax.

There are several different ways to leave a gift to Teesside Hospice in your Will:

• Specific gift – this is a gift of a specific asset or item such as property, furniture, jewellery or other valuables

• Pecuniary gift – this is a gift of a specific amount of money

• Residuary gift – a residuary gift is made from the remainder of your estate after debts have been paid and all specific and pecuniary gifts have been made
