Bereavement Counselling
People of all ages have a grief reaction when they lose a loved one and whilst there are definite identifiable phases or stages in that grief reaction, this process is very personal. No persons grief reactions are ever the same, just as no two relationships are identical. Many people find it advantageous to accept the help of someone not affected by the loss as they slowly work through their grief process.
The bereavement counselling services at Teesside Hospice provide support to both adults and children’s (via 'Forget-Me-Not' children’s and young adults' bereavement counselling service) and enables people to work through their grief and accept what has happened helping them move forward in their lives.
